Garg! I totally fell apart the past four days. By the time I got to Thursday last week I was exhausted. I just couldn’t create something and needed sleep. The weekend was packed with family responsibilities and some work responsibilities that didn’t amount to any substantial creation. So I failed on Days 8-11 of the December Making Challenge, but I’m determined not to give up on this. I will catch up, and today I started the catch up process.
I’m giving a presentation tomorrow at the TIES Technology Conference with Ben Drewelow on how educators can use SCRUM and Agile Development principles in education. Tonight I finished the Prezi that I started this past weekend. I’ve pasted a screenshot of the overall presentation here.
So at the moment I’m four days behind in my challenge. I’m going to give myself some leeway here to catch up. Ideally I would have a perfect record, but I’m finding the whole project a good thing, and so I don’t want to bail just because I fell apart for a bit. Also, as I make more stuff I’m finding that I’m getting more ideas on stuff to make, and my kids are actually suggesting stuff that I can make as well. My daughter suggested I make some slime, and so we might do that one together. I’m definitely feeling that continuing would be worthwhile, and so I’m back in the saddle and making progress.
